Nurseries receive an increase of
only 11p for delivery of Free Entitlement
Results from Laing and
Buisson’s 2009 Children’s
Nurseries UK Market Report and reported on the NDNA website, show that
nurseries have only received an
average increase of 11 pence per hour for delivery of the Free Early Years
Entitlement for 2009, despite the completion of the cost analysis process by local
authorities. Look at the regional breakdown of funding per hour, as of January

Busy Bees to spend £3m on improvements
Busy Bees, the countries
largest provider of nursery vouchers has announced that it will invest
£3m in improving technology for the services they
offer to childcare providers, parents and employers. A new record keeping
system is expected to live in the autumn, this will include improved online access for childcare providers and a customer
call-centre service tailored towards answering providers' queries. (Source Nursery World)

an interesting article that appeared in the Guardian recently. Whilst we are not going to pass comment on the
article it is interesting to see the length of notice period required by the
company concerned. Does anyone else state they require 10 months written notice
